My name is Joy Chinonye Otikor. A Ph.D holder in haematology / blood transfusion science.My area of research focus is on immunohaematology.I was privilege to have carried out a molecular research on the prevalence of hepatitis B and C, and the levels of C-Reactive protein and blood group clotting factors in pregnant women.In the course of this we were able to discover that there was a high number of hepatitis C in pregnant women and also there was a co-infection of hepatitis B and C in some of these pregnant women.Additionally,I have been privileged to have co-authored some papers namely: prevalence of parasitaemia and associated immunodeficiency among HIV-malaria co-infected adult patients with highly active anti-retroviral therapy, occupational risk factors associated with lymphoid, malignancies in Benin City Nigeria.Furthermore,I have been a member of the institute of MLS since 2002, also a registered and associate member of the MLS council of Nigeria.
